Isaiah
55:11 (King James)
So
shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I
please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
I want to take a moment
to share my heart with you. We know God is real; there is no doubt about it. He has shown himself “real” on too
many occasions. What I want to express is “faith”. Luke 17:6
(King James) And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou
plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
Too many times I wanted to throw the towel out the window because of situations and circumstances.
What we have to remember is we’ll encounter trials and tribulations when following Christ. Most of the time it appears
more than we can bare, it doesn’t feel good to our “flesh”. We start to doubt because it seems as if God
has forgotten us and the Lord starts to look like a liar. (Numbers 23:19 God is not a man that he should lie nor
a son of man that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?) The enemy creeps
in because we now have opened a door he can come through. So he taunts our flesh with doubts, worry, depression
and hopeleness. He tells us God isn't going to bring us through, he tells us God has forgotten about us. Our temporary
situations appear permanent and we become restless and insecure. God has already spoken to us and told us He’s
going to do it. God told us not to worry, but to seek him (Matthew 6). The Lord told us in James 1 that there will
be trials and tribulations but to count it all joy. In Chapter 2 of James He speaks to us about faith and deeds. In
Chapter 3, He tells us to tame our tongues and in Chapter 4 He tells us to submit ourselves to Him. In Chapter 5 He tells
us to have patience in our suffering and to have a prayer of faith. When I become discouraged, broken-hearted and worn
down, I go to the book of Proverbs for “wisdom” I go to the book of James for confirmation to get myself out of
the flesh and into the spirit. I love the book of James.. So I encourage you to not give up nor throw the towel out the window.
God said He would never leave us nor forsake us. He is the King of all Kings and Lord of all Lords. You gave the enemy
more faith in the world, now it’s time to give it up for the Alpha and the Omega. The one and only Master of all Masters,
the King, Jesus Christ. Saints ain’t nothing to it, but to do it! And remember, no matter what happens, God Still Sits
On The Throne!
Evangelist Pamela Thomas
Matthew 20:16 So the last shall be first and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen.
